Credit Report Terms of Use
These are the terms you agree to the moment you start exploring a loan with FynnEdge — what we do, what your chosen lender decides, and how a credit check fits into the picture.
01 Welcome to FynnEdge These Terms explain what you're agreeing to the moment you start exploring a loan with us.
FynnEdge Advisory (OPC) Private Limited ("FynnEdge", "we", "us", "our") operates fynnedge.com and the FynnEdge platform — a place to explore loan options, understand what you might qualify for, and get help moving your application forward with a bank, NBFC or other lending institution, including where that involves a check of your credit information.
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of FynnEdge, from the moment you land on this website through every step of a loan enquiry or application you begin with us. By browsing FynnEdge, starting a loan enquiry, or using our calculators and eligibility tools, you agree to these Terms. If something here doesn't sit right with you, we'd rather you not proceed than agree to something you're unsure about — you're always welcome to reach out to us first through our Contact page.
Read alongside these Terms: our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your information in full.
02 Using Our Platform FynnEdge is built for genuine loan seekers in India — here's what that means in practice.
FynnEdge is intended for individuals who are at least 18 years old, capable of entering into a legally binding loan agreement under Indian law, and who are genuinely exploring a loan for themselves or a business they represent.
You agree to use FynnEdge only for its intended purpose — exploring loan options, checking indicative eligibility, and applying for a loan you genuinely intend to take up if approved — and to do so lawfully, without harming FynnEdge, our lending partners, or other users. Section 11 sets out conduct we don't allow.
If you're applying on behalf of a business — for a business loan or a loan against property held by a company or firm, for instance — you confirm you're authorised to share that business's information and act on its behalf.
03 Beginning Your Loan Journey From your first enquiry to choosing a lender, here's the shape of what happens.
- You tell us what you're looking for — loan type, amount and purpose
- ↓
- FynnEdge runs a preliminary check against participating lenders' published criteria
- ↓
- We show you the loan options and lenders you're likely eligible with
- ↓
- A FynnEdge Loan Expert may connect with you to guide your application
- ↓
- You choose a lender, and we help you submit your application to them
Nothing about starting an enquiry commits you to anything — you can explore your options, compare what's on offer, and decide not to proceed at any point before you choose to submit an application to a lender.
04 Information You Provide What we can do for you depends entirely on what you tell us — so accuracy matters.
Everything FynnEdge does — from an indicative eligibility check to helping you complete an application — is based on the information you provide. You agree that the personal, contact, KYC, employment, business, income and loan-requirement information you share with us is accurate, complete, current, and genuinely yours to share.
If any of your information changes, or you realise something you've shared was incorrect, please let your FynnEdge Loan Expert know, or update it as early as possible. Information that's inaccurate, incomplete or misleading can lead to a lender declining your application, delays in processing, or — where it appears deliberate — the outcomes described in Section 11.
05 Loan Options & Eligibility What we show you is a well-informed estimate — not a lender's final word.
When FynnEdge shows you loan options, an eligibility result, an interest-rate range, or an indicative EMI, these are generated from the information you've provided and each lender's own published criteria, as configured on our platform at that time.
These results are indicative, not final. They're a genuine, good-faith estimate of what you're likely to qualify for — not a loan offer, sanction letter, or commitment from any lender. A lender may still request more documentation, apply additional checks, offer different terms, or decline an application that FynnEdge indicated as eligible, based on their own verification and underwriting.
06 Credit Information Understanding your credit history — CIBIL and other bureaus — can help sharpen your options.
What we mean — your credit score and credit report, as maintained by Credit Information Companies authorised in India (commonly known by names like CIBIL, Experian, Equifax and CRIF).
Where applicable — as part of assessing your loan requirement, FynnEdge or a lender we work with may obtain your credit information through an authorised credit information channel, to help build a fuller picture alongside your income and employment details.
Your consent — a credit information check is not run simply because you're browsing FynnEdge or starting an enquiry. Where a credit check forms part of your journey, we ask for your specific, informed consent at that stage of your application, before any check is made.
What it doesn't mean — your credit score is one input into an eligibility picture, not a guarantee either way. A strong score doesn't assure approval, and the concerned lender makes the final credit decision, on their own policy.
07 Assistance From FynnEdge Loan Experts A real person, not just a form — here to help you move through your application.
Depending on your loan requirement, a FynnEdge Loan Expert may reach out to understand your needs better, explain the options available to you, help you complete your application accurately, and keep you informed as it progresses with your chosen lender.
A Loan Expert's role is to guide and assist you — they don't make lending decisions, and nothing they tell you about your likely eligibility or loan terms overrides the lender's own assessment. Where a Loan Expert's guidance ever seems to conflict with what a lender communicates to you directly, the lender's communication governs.
08 Communication & Updates Expect to hear from us — but only about the enquiry or application you've started.
By sharing your contact details and starting a loan enquiry or application, you agree that FynnEdge, our Loan Experts, and — once you've chosen one — your selected lender, may contact you by phone call, SMS, email, WhatsApp or other permitted channels, for purposes connected to your enquiry or application. This includes clarifying your requirement, requesting documents, sharing eligibility results, following up on an incomplete application, and keeping you updated on its status.
If you'd prefer not to be contacted about an enquiry you've started, let us know through our Contact page and we'll do our best to accommodate that — though some communication, like a document request needed to keep your application moving, may still be necessary for us to help you.
09 Your Relationship With the Lender The loan itself — and everything that comes with it — is an agreement between you and the lender.
FynnEdge helps you reach the right lender and supports you through the application process, but the loan agreement, if one is offered and you accept it, is entered into directly between you and the concerned bank, NBFC or lending institution. FynnEdge is not a party to that agreement.
Once your application is with a lender, their own terms and conditions, sanction letter, loan agreement and policies govern that relationship — including how your loan is disbursed and serviced, and how any default or dispute is handled. Read everything a lender sends you carefully before signing.
10 Rates, Fees & Loan Costs What you'll actually pay is set by the lender you choose, not by FynnEdge.
Interest rates, processing fees, EMIs and other charges shown on FynnEdge — including in our calculators and comparisons — are indicative figures based on what our lending partners have published to us. The rate or fee you're finally offered is decided by the lender at the time of sanction, based on their assessment of your application, and can differ from what was shown to you earlier.
Using FynnEdge to check your eligibility and explore loan options is free. We don't charge you to run an eligibility check, compare lenders, or submit an application through our platform. Any fee a lender charges — such as a processing fee — is disclosed by that lender before you proceed, and is payable by you to the lender, not to FynnEdge.
11 Using FynnEdge Responsibly A few things we ask you not to do, so FynnEdge stays trustworthy for everyone.
- Submitting false, misleading or fraudulent information — including a fabricated income, employment or identity detail — to influence an eligibility result or application.
- Impersonating another person, or submitting an application, documents or a credit check consent on someone else's behalf without their knowledge and authorisation.
- Attempting to gain unauthorised access to FynnEdge's systems, another user's account or application, or information you're not entitled to see.
- Using automated tools, scrapers or bots to extract data from FynnEdge, or to submit enquiries or applications at scale.
- Interfering with, disrupting, or attempting to circumvent the security or normal functioning of our platform.
- Misusing the assistance of a FynnEdge Loan Expert — for example, pressuring them to misrepresent your profile to a lender.
- Using FynnEdge for any purpose that is unlawful, or that could expose FynnEdge, our lending partners or other users to harm or liability.
Where we reasonably suspect any of the above, we may take the steps described in Section 19 — including restricting or suspending your access — and, where appropriate, report the matter to the concerned lender or the relevant authorities.
12 Calculators, Comparisons & Information Useful for planning, not a substitute for a lender's actual sanction letter.
FynnEdge's EMI calculators, interest-rate and tenure comparisons, loan-cost breakdowns, eligibility indicators and educational content (like our Resources articles and FAQs) are provided to help you plan and compare — built using standard financial formulas and the rate and fee information available to us at the time.
These tools are for guidance only. The figures they produce are estimates, and may not exactly match the final terms a lender offers you — actual EMI, tenure, rate and total cost depend on the lender's sanction, and can vary based on processing timelines, applicable taxes, and any conditions the lender attaches.
13 External Platforms & Services Once you step onto a lender's own site or app, their rules take over.
Completing your loan journey may involve FynnEdge linking, redirecting, or guiding you into an application experience hosted by a bank, NBFC or other lending or service partner — for instance, to complete KYC, e-sign documents, or make a payment. The moment you're interacting directly with that organisation's own platform, their terms of use and privacy policy govern that interaction, not ours.
We'd encourage you to review a partner's own terms before submitting anything directly through their platform. FynnEdge doesn't control, and isn't responsible for, the content, security or practices of any third-party platform we link to or work with.
14 FynnEdge Content & Intellectual Property The FynnEdge name, look and content are ours — please don't borrow them without asking.
The FynnEdge name, logo, website design, layout, graphics, text, calculators, software and all other content on fynnedge.com — excluding content or trademarks belonging to our lending partners — belong to FynnEdge Advisory (OPC) Private Limited, or are used by us under licence, and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You're welcome to use FynnEdge as intended — browsing, checking eligibility, applying for a loan. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from our content, branding or platform for any other purpose, including commercial use, without our prior written permission.
15 Website Availability We aim to be there when you need us — but no website runs perfectly, all the time.
We work to keep FynnEdge available and running smoothly, but we don't guarantee the platform will be available uninterrupted, or free from errors, at all times. Access may occasionally be affected by scheduled maintenance, technical issues, network problems, or the availability of third-party services — such as a lender's system, a credit bureau, or a payment or verification provider — that FynnEdge depends on to serve you.
Where reasonably possible, we'll try to keep disruption to a minimum and let you know about planned maintenance in advance. We're not responsible for delays or issues caused by circumstances genuinely outside our reasonable control.
16 No Promise of Loan Approval The one thing worth saying plainly, on its own: nothing on FynnEdge is a guarantee.
However positive an eligibility result looks, however experienced our Loan Experts are, and however smoothly your application moves through our platform — using FynnEdge does not guarantee that any lender will sanction your loan, or that it will be sanctioned for the amount, interest rate or tenure indicated. Approval or rejection, and every term of the loan if one is offered, is decided solely by the concerned lending institution.
17 Customer Responsibilities A loan is a real financial commitment — a few things worth doing on your end.
- Share information that's accurate, complete and genuinely yours, and keep it updated if it changes (Section 04).
- Read every document a lender sends you — sanction letter, loan agreement, fee schedule — carefully, before signing anything.
- Understand the EMI, tenure, interest rate and any charges you're agreeing to, and make sure the loan genuinely fits your financial situation.
- Ask questions — of your FynnEdge Loan Expert or the lender directly — if any term isn't clear to you.
- Keep your login details, OTPs and application-related communications confidential, and let us know promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.
If you're ever unsure whether a loan is the right decision for you, we'd encourage you to take independent financial advice before proceeding — FynnEdge's role is to help you find and access options, not to tell you what to decide.
18 Privacy & Information Handling How we handle everything you share with us has its own dedicated page.
The personal, financial and application information you share with FynnEdge — including any credit information covered by these Terms — is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which explains in detail what we collect, why, who we may share it with, and the choices and rights available to you. We haven't repeated all of that here; please read it alongside these Terms.
19 Restriction or Suspension of Access In a few specific situations, we may need to pause or limit your access to FynnEdge.
We may restrict, suspend or terminate your access to FynnEdge — in whole or in part — where we reasonably believe:
- You've provided false, misleading or fraudulent information, or otherwise breached Section 11.
- Your use of the platform poses a security risk to FynnEdge, our lending partners, or other users.
- We're required to do so to comply with a legal or regulatory requirement, or a request from a competent authority.
- Continuing to provide access could expose FynnEdge or others to harm, fraud or liability.
Where reasonably possible, we'll try to let you know why access was restricted or suspended, and what — if anything — you can do about it.
20 Responsibility & Limitations What we're accountable for — and what genuinely sits with the lender or a third party.
FynnEdge is responsible for the accuracy of the platform, tools and guidance we provide, and for facilitating your loan journey in good faith, as described throughout these Terms. We're not responsible for any independent decision, act or omission of a lender or other third party — including a lender's decision to approve, decline, delay, or offer different terms than indicated; a delay caused by a lender's, bureau's or verification partner's own systems; or a dispute that arises directly between you and a lender under your loan agreement.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, FynnEdge's liability in connection with your use of this platform is limited to facilitating your loan journey as intended — it does not extend to the outcome, terms, or performance of any loan ultimately offered by a third-party lender.
21 Updates to These Terms As FynnEdge grows, these Terms may need to grow with it.
We may update these Terms from time to time — to reflect changes in our services, new loan products or lending partners, legal or regulatory requirements, or how FynnEdge generally operates. When we do, the updated version takes effect from the date it's published here, and continuing to use FynnEdge after that means you accept the updated Terms. We'll always keep the current version available on this page.
Effective Date: September 8, 2026

22 Applicable Law These Terms are written for — and governed by — Indian law.
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with your use of FynnEdge is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at the location of FynnEdge Advisory (OPC) Private Limited's registered office.
